At Raffles Girls’ School, Education and Career Guidance (ECG) counselling helps our students to explore, understand and learn about their career aspirations as part of their holistic education.

Our goal is to see our students being able to:

• Understand their own career/academic aspirations
• Develop positive attitudes towards work and learning
• Integrate their career/academic aspirations with whole-person development and life-long learning

Education and Career Guidance Services

Through the DiscoverMe journey,  ECG in RGS aims to empower every RGS girl with a clear sense of purpose and the core skills to be an active contributor for the better age she envisions and aspires to build. Through experiences in the classroom and beyond, the girls will uncover her purpose, explore the various opportunities for her to actively contribute to and be equipped with the core skills to stay relevant in a rapidly changing world.

Tier 1: School-wide ECG Support

School-wide ECG programmes and resources help students build career awareness, explore their interests and strengths, and understand future education and career pathways. This includes curated ECG resources, Career Compass Expeditions, Career Day, Career Conversations, Work Experience Programs, and parent conferences.

Tier 2: Focused Group Support through Thrive Sessions

As part of their DiscoverMe journey, students are also supported through focused small-group workshops and programmes under Thrive Sessions - workshops that help students reflect on their values, interests, personality and strengths, design their pathways and develop work skills that better prepare them for workplace experiences. 

Tier 3: Individual ECG Guidance

Our ECG Counsellor also provides individual education and career guidance consultation sessions for students who may benefit from more personalised support in making informed decisions aligned with their goals and aspirations. These sessions may include career profiling, higher education consultation, subject and pathway exploration, career planning, and support.
